For the day surgery unit (UCSI) at Ontinyent Hospital we manufactured and installed a continuous solid surface worktop several metres long with the basin integrated into the same piece, over base units with drawers and cupboards.
A worktop this long, with no visible joints and the basin thermoformed into the surface itself, leaves no gaps where dirt can build up: it can be cleaned and disinfected in one pass, as a surgical area requires.
