Technical office: from an idea to a piece we can make

Before we make, we develop. Our technical office turns a sketch, an interior design drawing or an idea into a 3D model, production drawings and the CNC program.

What it does

Eban Premium’s technical office designs in 3D, engineers, details and programs every piece before it is made. It works with designers, interior architects and brands to solve the construction without changing the intent of the design, and checks everything on screen before the first board is cut.

What we develop

  • Product development from a sketch or an idea
  • 3D modelling and visualisation for approval
  • Production drawings, cutting lists and fittings
  • 3D CAM programming for the 5-axis CNC
  • Prototypes and model rooms
  • Technical documentation and testing to EN standards

We develop the piece from scratch

We don’t need a production drawing: we start from a sketch, a photo or an idea, design it in 3D, program the CNC and make it. The whole development happens in our own factory.

We split the model into layers

We model the table in 3D, split it into board layers and program the toolpaths of the 5-axis machining centre, checked on screen before the first board is cut.

Machining and assembly in the workshop

Each solid oak piece is machined on the CNC and dry-assembled in the factory to check they all fit before finishing.

The finished table

Hand sanded and finished, the table becomes a single piece of furniture made of pieces that fit together.

We model the piece in 3D

Our technical office models every piece in 3D from the client’s sketch, drawing or idea, and solves joints, fittings and cutting lists before anything is made.

We machine complex shapes

The 5-axis CNC carves solid wood, board and solid surface: organic shapes, rounded edges and joints to tenths of a millimetre, impossible to achieve by hand.

The finished piece

Sanding, finishing and assembly in our factory. The result is a piece true to the design, and repeatable when the project calls for a series.

Frequently asked questions

Can you start from a sketch?

Yes. We model it in 3D, propose materials and construction, and send you views to approve before we make anything.

Which files do you work with?

DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES, 3DM and PDF. If you only have a photo or a hand sketch, we start from there.

Do you sign a confidentiality agreement?

Yes. Designs from studios and brands stay confidential and are only used for their project.
